Montessori Practical Life in Oakland, CA

The Montessori Method was developed as a specialized curriculum that gives children meaningful opportunities to learn for themselves within a warmly guided environment.

At Oak Grove Montessori Preschool in Oakland, our teachers are trained to present both sensorial and practical life activities in ways that actively engage preschoolers and make learning purposeful and enjoyable.

Below are examples of Montessori practical life activities commonly used in our preschool programs.

What Practical Life Builds

These activities aren’t “just chores.” They help children develop the skills they need for learning, relationships, and independence.
